Doing Business 2015: the World Bank Report

The World Bank recently released its 12th Edition of Doing Business. The complete report is available here.

Regarding taxes, p. 83 of the report explains that “the administrative burden of tax compliance has been steadily easing since 2004 with the growing use of electronic systems for filing and paying taxes.”

The top-ten countries to do business in 2015 are as follow:

1 Singapore
2 New Zealand
3 Hong Kong, China
4 Denmark
5 Korea
6 Norway
7 United States
8 UK
9 Finland
10 Australia

Sweden comes in at #11, Germany at #14, Canada at #16; Switzerland at #20, Japan at #29, France at #31.
